So about two or three months ago I got a message on twitter from two guys known as The Super Boise. They are a games development duo from New York City. The Super Boise were interested in porting Get Rich or Die Gaming from XBOX Live to the Apple App Store. I told them I couldn't imagine how you could turn a video game into an apple, and they informed me that no stage of the process required my game to be turned into an apple. With that out of the way I had no qualms about teaming up with them.
Three months later, zero hours of programming from me and a large quantity of coding for the Super Boise and the game is now on sale. Those guys must have had a really tough time with Get Rich or Die Gaming's horrible code. All of which was written by Baller Industries Second Rate Programmer - Wilson Chen. Would you trust him with your code?
Developing on iOS is really cool. There's this great website called AppAnnie.com. It grabs all the ranking data from iTunes from every country, for different categories to give you a really clear understanding of how your App is doing in different markets. Get Rich or Die Gaming's rankings are here. One day Get Rich or Die Gaming was the #1 iPad RPG in all of Thailand, the result of four sales in Thailand.
Every day at about 3.00 PM (Sydney time) the daily rankings are updated and at about 9.00 PM the sales data is available at developer.apple.com. So I spend about six hours looking at the data from appannie.com to try and guess the sales data for the day.
The blocks are getting larger so everything is fine. However the reviews are not too good. In the United Kingdom my best rating was 2/5 stars.
I am concerned that Majdhdushebeixjdbe will not be able to remember his username and I would like to report it. It might not be in the spirit of things though.
In other Baller Industries news, I have uploaded a video to YouTube. This video that I have uploaded is in fact a video of one of the cut scenes in Let's Get Fiscal. This cut scene is in fact a cut scene that takes place before a boss battle with the owners of the Treeboi and Kone Club.
Well that's great Angus, but how about a demo, or the latest build of the game. Could you upload that somewhere so that I can download it from that location, install it to my computer and then play the game? No.
Alright fine here it is:
Let's Get Fiscal
Controls
Arrow keys - movement
E - Attack
Q - Jump
W - Circle kick
W + Direction - Brawl attack
E while jumping - Flying kick
E + Q - Backwards attack
That video is looking pretty neat. Keep it up!
