Employee #1

So today I woke up at 2.00 PM, in Hong Kong I was waking up at 9.00 AM. I always sleep in during winter, unless I have something to do. At the moment the only thing I have to do is code Get Rich or Die Gaming 2. Even though I don't have anything to do in the morning, I still feel bad about sleeping through it.

So I got out of bed, checked my emails, checked Get Rich or Die Gaming's sales and then drank an Up&Go and took a shower. Then I talked to Vishal on GMAIL chat. He had finished the thing I asked him to do.

What was the thing I asked him to do? I asked him to define a cut scene for Get Rich or Die Gaming 2 - Rock Bottom. Should I just call it Rock Bottom? I don't know. So a cut scene is something that plays whenever you talk to a character. They may not seem like a cut scenes, but they are. So each cut scene is made up of a bunch of cues. Text cues, sound cues and graphical cues. He was to define sweepy_tree, where the janitor Sweepy talks about which tree he would like to be.

His job was to:
1. Record the audio for Sweepy.
2. Join up the audio he recorded with the audio for Wilson Cooper, in such a way that they sound natural together.
3. Write down the time at which Text cues should appear.
4. Cut the audio into pieces so that the player can skip ahead in the scene. This is because XNA does not support skipping through an audio file.
5. Write down the time at which Sound cues appear.
6. Send me the text file definition, along with the cut up audio files.

Piece of cake. You can check out the latest version of Rock Bottom and see Vishal's hard work in action and some other stuff I have secretly been coding. In secret.
